Starting to spit here now I’m hoping we still miss it. Never thought I would say that a month ago.

Bummer about the hail SF. Never seems to be a good time for that.

Loaded out yearling steers on Wednesday and although it’s way earlier than we normally move them it’s nice to cross another thing off the list. Even got 1.25 inches delivered by Ma Nature for dust control in the corrals which was nice for a change.

Also figured out that this year is officially the least amount of hay we’ve put since the 60’s and it was done before we start most years. Only have 50 acres of pathetic second cut to do and my brothers FIL is really short on feed so he’s going to do it. Might be some straw to bale if the combines don’t grind it all to dust.

Took the kids out checking fence today and figured I could get them to drive the truck along while I walked the line.

The clutch pedal required some “field” modifications so they could push it down to start it. They sure enjoyed it as did I from not walking back to the truck repeatedly. Hard to believe that Monday morning the school bus will be here for another 10 months again.

Moved another bunch of pairs today. It’s always nice when it goes better than you expected.

No harvest done for us but neighbours have peas done and starting on cereals. Starting to feel behind since the cows, pasture, water, etc……. have been consuming all our time but hopefully next week we can get things checked over and think about making some dust. August harvesting around here is as common as unicorns anyway.

Hopefully everyone gets what they need and don’t have any/many breakdowns. A speed sensor in the Spra-coupe fuel injection pump died and is becoming a nightmare for us. Fun times………

      Good luck y’all 🍀
