how about a quick survey to see harvest progress
we are about 40% done with some of the best conditions I have ever saw . just canola left , more than normal because of last years hail/black summer fallow . some yields worse , some better . maybe half a crop in this sweet spot
i would venture a guess our area is 50-66% done

Maybe 5 or 10% done here. Feel bad for the guys with swathed wheat and barley. Three inches in the last week, more coming off and on here.

Depressing is for sure.

I’m still needing to cut some hay and greenfeed too. Good news is the sheep have a resurgence of grass thanks to the rains, and now I won’t have to feed for a little while now.

We got wheat off finished the last bit yesterday before rains , baled Fabas a while ago
Barley still standing , not sure what to with it yet. Can’t swath it with wet ground and variable weather yet .
Canola is half sprayed , half in swath , yields will be 20-50% of average. Most will be 35% of average if we get it .
Nerve wracking , wind and or hail can demolish it yet as seen from the past 10 days .

Wet ground now will not be good at all for short crops
Soil moisture is good for next year for sure but will be not fun to deal with at harvest

We would be close to 25 to30% done in our area, mostly peas and barley and a few oat and wheat fields. No canola done yet but expecting that will be the first to be ready whenever it starts to dry up.

25% here, mostly just pulses off and some April seeded durum. Couple guys would be closer to 40-50% but they really pushed hard to get there. No canola really touched yet.

Weather holds reasonably we should be pretty much wrapped here in 2-3 weeks.

Surprisingly the big rains didnt do as much damage as I though. Lentils after 3in rains were coming off X3 but they will blend up to a top grade with some better stuff I have. Durum still had good color not sure about sprouting.

Quite a bit of barley already harvested west of highway 2. A lot of canola being swathed, not sure what the rush is, some still has green leaves on the stubble.

Could be a lot of feed wheat and durum around as we were noticing mildew on the tips two or three rains ago. Heavily bleached then already, and a couple rains since, and through in fog this morning.
We pushed hard to get our cereals in the bin before the weather change. Cut around some green areas, and found yesterday that they still have decent colour(wasn't sprayed, but also shows how the maturity has slowed down in the last two weeks with the cooler temps)

Haven't had a lot of rain, but many days of showers,,, worst scenario, damaging harvest rains but not enough to recharge the ground for next year.

Yeah lots of grass green canola here. Guys starting to cut it too. When your not used to this weather, it’s gotta be rough.

If the crops are still greenish at least they are still filling and yields may be decent for you guys 👍👍.

The low spots here were still tough yesterday, but yields in low spots were 60% higher than the average in the rest of the 80-90% of the fields . Soils moisture made grain in cereals regardless of heat .
Canola .. not so much , very little canola off yet . Hearing 5-20 so far , the odd 25 ish , but very odd one
Hail reducing some decent crops to zero in areas .

HRSW out-yielding CPS by around 10-12 bus / ac , kinda expected in a drought year . Disappointing but it’s just the way it goes .

they seem to be filled from these last rains. The early beans are yellow. We are hoping for 20.

Us OLD guys have seen this many times...I said watch when it starts RAINING! All is cycles.
