Now that our borders are open to all vaccinated travellers without quarantine. Picture this - doctors, nurses and caregivers, excited to be able to travel, head out to Europe and fly to Dublin, hop a plane to Paris, then to London, then to Holland and then spend 14 hours in the tin can coming home. These caregivers are confident that because they are vaccinated, they are safe and go back to work the day after they return. Do you see a problem? Maybe I am the only one. Guess there is absolutely no way the vaccinated can transmit.

The borders are being opened to throw a bone to the hardest hit industries of travel and hospitality.

Travel will never return to precovid levels as long as there are large parts of the world unvaccinated and variants are circulating.

Proof of vaccinations plus a covid test will still result in some cases arriving.

But most of our problem in Canada is home grown antivaxers and vaccine hestitant people who don't want to reduce the impact because their personal freedom is more important than keeping people out of hospital and reducing the community and economic impact of covid.
