    Mostly fall field work today while we wait on the flax. Might sneak in some Elk hunting.

      I wonder what it is like to have time to wait to finish harvest. Usually a day or two before the first snowfall when we wrap up here!

          Only had a few hours to finish one year when the alternator crapped out on the 760 , but took the sunglasses off and figured out the alternator was working. Next morning there was 5 inches of snow dripping off the header.

            The covid deniers have gone silent as Alberta changes direction in a dramatic and big way. Reality has hit hard in the land of milk and money.

              Nobody “denying” that covid is a real thing. Definitely not as bad as you make it out to be though.

              Everybody knew this was coming. People have been saying that we will be locked down again once summer is over for quite some time. Fall is the start of cold season.

                A couple years ago, the alternator went on the 750 Lexion on the last field with about 20 swaths to go. The rotor bearing had gone on the 9230 case at the beginning of the day. Ended up finishing with no lights on the combine, and the grain cart following the combine up and down the field. You can say we limped over the finish line that year!

                  We never have time, this year is an anomaly. You simply can't force combine flax, better to wait till December and take it when it's frozen.
