What is pretty obvious with several of the posts in this thread is the indifference a lot of libertarian types have to the suffering of others.

The libertarian values expressed can be summed up "I am fine and a covid health emergency that threatens the lives of the sick, vulnerable and unvaccinated is nothing to worry about!

It's the self centred on steroids.

I know several people who have other health issues to deal with and they are at risk of not getting timely and adequate medical treatment.

People are dying of covid folks, including more young and healthy people. And if they don't die they quite often have long haul symptoms that prevent them from resuming a normal happy life.

Instead we have put up with the retched snake oil salesmen telling us vaccines don't work or cause more illness than covid does.

Some of you covid denying and conspiracy spreading assholes will get covid with tubes inserted in places where the sun don't shine and have a "vacation" in the ICU.

Maybe then you would have a little understanding and empathy beyond your own selfishness.

So when everyone gets vaccinated and covid does an Israel here, we can start pointing fingers at you because you pushed everyone to do what they didn’t want to? And blame you for our healthcare system getting overrun anyway?

My daughter is 13 and very strong willed, at 14 she is allowed to make her own medical choices I believe legally. She is vaxed with our support, but was very adamant that she wanted done. I do feel sorry for children as they are sort of caught up in this and have their own beliefs and may be different from their parents and or their parents beliefs may ostracize them from their friends. ( either side of the argument) She didnt want to go to school today because a bunch of the kids were planning on protesting masks at school today. Glad I'm not a teacher that has to deal with dissent or even just the protocols that are ever changing.

FYI the change last night in AB is back to masking in the hallways and on the bus etc but for sports and activities no mask and no distancing required so not really a big issue for the kids at this point.

My circle includes everyone from high school drop outs, to masters and doctorates graduates. I see no pattern at all amongst them.
