Canola 40 bu.

Guys who seeded early were the winners here. Everyone put durum in first so there are probably a couple guys that did 45-50. I put canola in first so my gains are there. We used L233 and were able to get seed early last yr before it got discontinued.

Wind is gusting to over 50 averaging 36 starting to fluff swaths

Finished the last swath fields last hour was dealing with blown swaths but we’re done now on to last half of the canola crop that’s standing liberty canola.

Deere can make a nice job with MADD Convaves.



Plus 2 minor frost so still good to spray the last section we haven’t touched yet with round up now that it is harvested.

Soil tests start next week one guy I have on Twitter has 89 lbs available N in the soil in a extreme drought area.

How did the Alfalfa do? The weather was good for producing seed.

Will be a money maker this year.

That is great. My steers only made $1.8875/lb and it took 16 months to grow them. They did weigh 965 lbs. Also there isn’t any herbicide bill and not much fertilizer or or fuel.

That looks like top of the market for steers.
A lot goes into making that happen.

Most places ZERO moisture, ROCK hard, wait till spring, might not need any. EVERY stick of stubble will catch SNOW, don't even harrow!

I can guarantee we won’t grow much next year if it don’t really rain soon. This years crop was helped by every slough we seeded and cleaned up. Next year these are now dry like other land.
