Oil is higher in canola around home which is within reach of the wind turbines. Obviously they help keep things cooler and therefore canola didn’t have such heat stress and the oil is higher.

    Yay for wind turbines!

Has to be true, after all, this has turned into a global warming thread, and the global warming proponents insist that correlation always implies causation. Except when it is inconvenient.

Your own farm yard will likely differ from your fields, especially if there are shelterbelts, building etc. So what if it was warmer in the city if it is consistantly warmer in the city. The only backward one is the person who thinks microclimates are strictly an urban phenomena

Agree but you are missing the point completely, or simply ignoring it . Absolutely temps are different in many areas on calm nights / mornings . That h

Why it important? Temps used it artificially warm areas like urban micro climates are being used as a basses for global warming. As never changed in thousands of years .
Was simply pointing out that fact . Taking temps from areas that represent a fraction of the area . Whats the big panic , 2c and the world will end from the climate cult ?
Easy to cherry pick data that does not represent 98% of the land mass around it .

It all ends up skewing the average temps , and by 1.5c ..... obviously not hard to do .

Except if that same location becomes encircled by pavement, city heat and airplane exhaust. Then it is not in the ‘same’ location.
