    Gophers,FFS

Spraying my canola and they took a nice stretch. It was alongside my neighbours pasture where I know they have been trying to eradicate them.

Here is a question. Could they not make a covid bait for gophers?

Can't use strychnine because of climatards and envirowhackos , same for getting phostoxin which has proven effective for some guys.

So why not introduce a strain of covid for gophers in a snack like form? That may be transferable to badgers shortly after.

    Just saying

Have the same problem with moles. Wrecked a set of blades yesterday on MoCo after 40 acres and had to change them before doing another 40. I've tried trapping and poison plus leveling hay fields twice a year. Badgers seem to work the best for control but then you deal with badger holes. I was told WEASELS where the way nature controlled gophers and moles. Perhaps we could hire JUSTIN after Monday.

At least your neighbors are trying we've got a couple that I have to have a man patrol their fence lines in the spring like the Mexican border and we're still losing acres. Tried phostoxin either the soil was too dry this year to activate correctly or out rate was off didn't have good luck, going to cost the industry untold millions over the next number of years unless we find a stronger control method.

Just what we need a corona virus in gophers that will mutate and infect humans! LOL

There are real reasons why some poisons are not safe in the environment. Do you put the strychnine around your children and pets? Do you use phostoxin in your house? Or do you choose safer options?

My neighbour and I won't use strychnine because its too close to their house and their pets. I am not a retard.

They have tried with 22s but seems ineffective.

Phostoxin can be thrown in a hole and covered and gas them but a farmer can't buy it.

By the way .. I don't hug gophers or eat them . Typically not within 30 feet of them.

Old car manuals had the procedure to adjust the valves, new car manuals tell you not to drink the contents of the battery…..

We can get Phostoxin, just need a proper pesticide applicators license , will being trying it again in 22 but wasn't happy with the trials we did in 21.

At one time, there was an outfit selling a foam system. Injected down hole.
Seen it done and it worked.

We got 5¢ per tail in the old days ,delivered to the town office. We would go into town set our traps on the baseball diamonds, then go pick beer bottles in the ditch, cash those in. Those were the days

Our pocket gopher problem was getting to be a big problem as they were eating the roots of alfalfa and caragana, so we just got serious about digging into the burrow and treating them to a special breakfast. Flatten the mound.
