Tore a strip off a neighbor

Coming home at dusk almost hit a header trailer left on the road, phoned the dork and he cant understand my problem, said why are you talking to me like that, lost it and started yelling at him you could have killed someone, didn't care. Was more concerned about my attitude. When I started yelling you could of killed my family he sort of shut up.

Makar, some of our BTO neighbors have the nasty habit of moving halfway across the RM after dark.

Only in Canada somehow is it legal to move a 40 ft header down the grid. In Europe or the US they trailer them out.

Moving is bad enough, leaving it in the dark on the side of the road is insanity. All they had to do is back it into the driveway 100 yards down the road that they farm.

No kidding, not too bright. Looking into the sun, you are blinded and you hit a parked header, bad scene.

And hopefully some day you will see the Covid pandemic equally as clearly.

"oneoff", you failed to answer the question.

And here's another - do lemmings have critical thinking capability?

Or you may just continue to run and hide like a wimp.

A few years ago, a couple of neighbors and I were heading out after dark during harvest time on a municipal road. Another neighbor was harvesting soys and dumping into trucks parked on the road, blocking traffic as they unloaded.

Another empty truck was parked facing us on the other side of the road and his headlights were pretty well blinding us.

So that is why we didn't see the loaded truck on our side of the road until we were almost under the back end of it. Swerved at the last second and missed it by less than 5 feet.

No lights on, a black truck box covered in road dirt, and no reflectors visible.

I called the incident in to the OPP who seemed to take it quite seriously. They asked if I wanted to press charges and that's where I went wrong - I said "No, he's a neighbor". He simply got a visit from them and a warning.

This renowned citizen was our mayor at the time, a big, fairly useless, arrogant prick that deserved much worse than he got out of it.

Then a short time later he supported a stupid by-law that prohibited possession of certain wild animals for the purpose of "keeping the people safe".

BTW, he still parked his trucks and wagons on the road.

One thing for me. I have to keep reminding myself that what seemed ok 30 years ago isn't so much anymore.
                        10 times the traffic now.
