Local dealers say they hope to get some before spring.seems hard to believe some of these companies are out that far on production.

Have had 3 totes on order since 1st week of august. Have been informed the odds of receiving this fall are now less than 50:50. Guess that canada thistle is gonna be a lil lusher next year.

Would be nice to just have a couple thousand L sitting around, but that typically hasn't been financially feasible around here.

Picked up a bunch of Transorb yesterday at the Co-op. No totes, no drums available, only jugs... kinda sux but whatever... $10.00/ litre. Good thing we have a small farm and don't need a bunch.

I wonder if this is a farm group issue that they could lobby government for some help.

Not sure why it has to be produced in another country.

I'll tell you why - because 20 years ago when Ken Goudy wanted you guys to pony up to build gly in Canada not anywhere near enough of you stepped up to the plate.

Anything else you want to know?

20, had to be closer to 30-35 years ago. I remember going around with Dad trying to sell shares or memberships, and a big meeting at the Dana radar base. I think shortly after the price collapsed making the project unfeasible at the time.

Next years totes are sitting in the shed bought in June before the price insanity set in. The fertilizer bins will be completely empty tomorrow after seeding grazing rye………….. not looking forward to buying the truckload we’ll be short or refilling them whenever we get the urge to do that…………. Fun times🍀

Used up most of next year’s supply of glyphosate spraying the recently revived drought canola after 4” of rain this fall. I might be a bit late to this party, hopefully I can find some before spring. Haven’t bought glyphosate for three years other than Prepass it will be a shock to the system to pay these exorbitant prices we’ve heard lately.

Spoke with my FNA rep and they are talking about building a production plant in Saskatchewan for all chemicals (glyfos only at the start). I never got into investing in their Fert plant/distribution, but they said if nothing is (started) built by end of 2022 then they’ll return the investment.

Anyone else thinking about putting some money in?

If it works out like the rest of their scams it will never happen, this coming from a disgruntled former FNA member who put money into Project N.

Always shortages during hyper inflation since the product is sitting on the dock looking for a higher bid. Remember buying urea in the fall of 2008 for winter wheat at $800 for winter wheat. By January 2009 it was down to $460 and put some in a bin for spring seeding at that price. It was chinese product that became available through Green Prairie at that time. Quality was fairly good. Do have some gly on hand for spring but not enough. The 22 crop will have the highest inputs and all profits this year will be evaporated through taxes, interest, and higher input prices. Gotta hate inflationary booms.

If people still buy at a high price , why lower it?
Produce less at a higher price.
People still lined up for those 100 grand trucks..(example).
