    Sask crop Insurance

This is the first time in many years that we will be in a claim position for crop insurance. How much will it effect our premiums and for how long? We have a 50% discount right now.

There is a formula, to reduce discounts. SCIC

I doubt your discount will drop much on a one year claim, especially if your numbers are average or above in your area.

You most likely won’t see any changes. May be at 14 credits instead of 16. But will be 50% yet.

Huge, like the whole province? I’d be all for throwing out this years yield from the formula or getting rid of any debits. One way they can help out this huge disaster….

Premiums will be on the rise for sure

I think they will be up significantly since the base price and coverage/acre will be record high.

It paid out piss all in the flood years because our lost acres weren’t used. Plus our margin dropped slowly as acres dropped. We got **** all
