It different with highway trucks, salt and miles put them out of their misery earlier than farm tractors.

Furrow your meme describes out here good. Just out cutting the last couple quarters of late emerged canola and should finish up today. The fall colours are everywhere ………… even flowering canola.
Never double swathed canola before……. there’s no shortage of firsts for this year. Having to scalp the ground to get our short barley with the flex header on a quarter we cleared and end up dumping the rock/stick trap every hopper.
Never had blue wood smoke belch out of the feederhouse when a stump gets chewed on by the cylinder but it’s now a regular occurrence. The cows even get toothpicks with their barley this winter. 😉
On a positive note the baling is all done and it’s the least amount to pick in over 30 years for us. Still lots of acres to cover in the neighbourhood so hopefully the weather holds.
Congrats to everyone that’s done. Bringing up the rear here just like herding cowsðŸ€
