I got 54 years, started on a IH 403, how about you?

Yes top prices this year, in 1967 I think wheat was under $1. 18 bu/acre, weeds, little fertilizer used.

It was my 42 crop started with my grandfather and Dad with two 55 JD Combines in 1979. The best year to start and by the mid-80s you were wondering why? With the CWB needed a permit book to sell but we were into Flax and Canola back then. Had Relatives in StarCity and Nipawin so were really early growing canola or ****seed.

We always go, help family and friends, why not it's fun do you really have that much other stuff to do. Should have almost a month now left to harrow and kelly and yes even used the new Degelman disc harrow.

Looking to buy a pontoon for Florida to chase Gators and relax Lake Alfred is a nice area. Joe Open the border.

          the new Degelman disc harrow.

I seen that years ago sitting across from the Regina plant , phoned about it , then it got back burnered for a few years.

Let us know how it works ...maybe I could dump the heavy harrows and pro till on one machine.

I'm curious how it works because yes you can heavy disc low areas and make black but then if it's wet winter and spring you won't seed because they are to soft. Now if you followed the disc with this on the whole field it mixes straw up leaves some and seals the ground for winter plus levels out. Straw is a problem is after 39 crops of direct seeding.

Neighbor used a harrow packer after spring NH3, really worked well, firmed resealed top, leveled field and straw. Don't think any are made now.

I started running a combine for my dad 51 years ago which was a IH 403. I was 11 at the time and started farming after grade 12.

Looking back to ~'79. Wow, younger farmers need to hear some of this. Especially anyone who started after '06.
We had a IHC 105 i believe. First one I ran. Then a well used 95JD. I vaguely remember standing on the platform of those G4? MMs. 760MF to a 1680 and away it went.
It really doesn't seem forever ago.
55s were darn old in 79 and look where at now. Know when change is a need instead of a want I guess. Wouldn't give up anything GPS related or data collection now.
Never will fully understand how the CWB got so strong or lasted so long. Incredible.
Neighbor and I just begrudgingly bought a Landoll lol.
Not sure when I can go south again due to family responsibilities, but do have income property down there I've never seen lol. Good luck on open border this winter at all.
Spent yesterday connecting with extended family on their machines, eating great harvest meals. Incredibly enjoyable when it's not your monkey.
They are the last. Area done a week ago.
