You ve gotten more subsidy from

    More mommy and daddy subsidy
Than anybody likely on this forum
From any program. And good for you
    But don’t be a cuunt. This isn’t
About this issue your still pouting
About getting bashed on the covid
    Forum. Grow up!

Don’t know your crop insurance but if it’s
Like ours there are farmers subsidizing you
Every year you purchase insurance if you ve had good
    Weather.
Disaster years should not count in your
    Average.
You have market price canola guarantee
Is that not correct which would be 20 bucks
Ours here is half of that.
Why should farmers there have that
Advantage? It s federal provincial programs
Or is that just a provincial part there?
We re wanting at least a level playing
Field with Alberta farmers. Market price
Insurance solves the contract problem for
Every farmer in crop insurance not just
Those that had 5 bumpers and now a loss
Through agristability and I should say even
    Then it’s not guaranteed. Lmao!
Again...no financial help from my parents other than using some of their equipment in the beginning. But think what you must.

Not trying to be a ****, just trying to show you real world examples of how you can/should save for the bad times. It was the name calling from you that brought out the ****like posts directed at you.

Yes you can buy price guarantee insurance, but like most things, the government basically gutted that program. It probably would have paid this year, but the cost is outrageous. Almost as much as crop insurance coverage. Unless they changed it yet again in the last 2-3 years. Quit enrolling around then. If you don’t enrol, then coverage is the same as sask. I would imagine. Whatever the price is in spring.

And no, not about covid. Only wanting to stop the handout drum from beating.

1% would take 50 years to build something to cover one years farming...some people haven't a clue or maybe are not paying all the expenses yet.

Dofasco and Algoma both got 400 million to change their equipment

You’re absolutely right! Was just making a point to baby flea bag.
Any money we get is only partial of what we contribute.
Not only to our communities but government in
          Regenerated income and taxes.

So nobody is asking for a subsidy merely
Some money back in tough situations.

Crop insurance should not be funding holidays
To Hawaii for some and not cover the costs
Of inputs for others in multi year disasters.

Again. Don’t ask the government for the same, ask them to stop the waste.

And if that first part is a shot at me not paying the expenses….get bent…or else farm better.

Whatever you guys want to think. I will continue to jump ahead in life, while you ask for a handout.

                It's not a shot but agri-invest isn't a money maker or a handout.

10 years of putting into it won't cover a farms fuel bill.

Why is aginvest your only means of saving for self -sufficiency? It should augment your own savings account.

                    Sure seemed pointed!

What about it isn’t a handout? It is a matching contribution to a savings account from the government!

                      It's a taxable benefit.
