And then you ask the government for training wheels?

I didn’t say not to farm it….but if that is what suits you!! Maybe different crops during an extended drought? Maybe throw some animals into the mix? Maybe…the options are endless.

But no…it is the governments fault they don’t give you more money. Self-reliance doesn’t mean anything anymore.

Now if you would argue that every other industry basically got a handout, and ag didn’t, then you would have some legs to stand on. Ag kinda got thrown to the wayside, while everyone else got free everything.
Like I said you don’t have a clue.
Plant different crops? You can’t recognize
What’s seeded on most fields lmao it didn’t matter
What was seeded. Again you sound like
Some of these change your farming for
The drought types. Lmao! Too funny.

Here’s to an extended drought your way!

And lots of industries get handouts all the time!
I m talking about a program that works.

No other industry has a “program”. What makes ag so special?

And I wish no ill will on you training wheel. I do wish you would take a risk aversion course or two though, instead of expecting the gov’t tit to do it for you.😉

If you are truly in an area as good as you say it is, your coverage should have made me blush. You would have had good coverage for 2-3, even 4 years of this drought you are in. You could have put 10-15 bushels of those 70 bushel canola crops away over the last what? 30 years? That should have been able to cover the last year or two of living.

Plus your Afgri-invest account (if you farm any size at all) should be around $50-60,000+. Or are you driving a new dodge longhorn around?

You see, even putting $5-10,000 per year away over your farming career would have you at $150,000-300,000 in savings by now.

Why does the government need to subsidize your poor spending choices?

Well then what are you complaining about? You should have $60,000+ to pull you through the drought!

You would think we were talking about the cwb or covid the way the vitriol jumped in.
I've been guilty myself from time to time. But the topic was timely and farm related.
Maybe if we acted on line like the CEOs we are in life more information could be shared.

Because that takes more than days to actually do.
