The other benefit of maturity is the lack of envy or misplaced sympathy.

Lol….free loader. My parents have been pleading with me the last 10 years to slow down. That I will die of exhaustion.

Sure I save $20/acre to going rent in the area on my parents land. But it didn’t get me to where I am today. This is the second year I farm my parents land. So before you go speculating, I would maybe try learn a thing or two. Since you seem to be in economic dire straights the way you are talking. But it is always the guys that couldn’t, trying to teach the guys that can!

Am I wrong? If a 35 year old can build up a war chest to survive 4-5 years of hard times, why can’t a 50-60 year old? And remember, you farm in the garden of eden compared to where I farm.

All a payment will do is go to jacking up rent even higher than it is, or a new piece of iron.

This is not a shot across anyone's bow.
But it seems like there are two cocky young bucks having a pissing match.
          That is their choice.
I can tell fairly quickly when life has never kicked someone in the nuts. Now I just overlook it and respect their right to their own opinion.
I do enjoy being the old bull.

              It won’t for you! Lmao!
So what kind of truck do you drive? Because
Apparently that determines if you are successful
Or not? Or whether the program you get subsidized
By other farms is working or not?

But it’s just like covid you have no thought
Process other than what you be heard sask
Party people say you should say so I won’t waste any more of
My time on either of you or the same guy who knows.

I respect your opinion blackpowder, but sometimes people that should know better, need to learn it. No matter how blunt it is needed to be put.

Government isn’t responsible for keeping people solvent. Planning ahead, and being responsible keeps them solvent.

I drive a 2011 dodge dually with 100,000 km. Yes a 10-11 year old truck, that I saved up for until 3 years ago by driving the 2000 Ford F-150 xl regular cab short box, with manual locks and roll down windows. Paid cash for the f-150 by saving from summer jobs while in school. And paid cash for the dually by saving all those years driving the f-150. You see…fiscal responsibility. You should try it sometime.

I didn’t ask what truck you drove to determine if you were successful. I was merely stating that most guys agri-invest went to a new pickup, or the like. But apparently that went clear over your head.

And I’m in Alberta…so of course I don’t know much about sask party. And you definitely don’t subsidize my insurance.

No, government is responsible for spending
4 billion or what ever it was on irrigation.
For a few farm friends as a SUBSIDY maybe
that’s where you are? That subsidy will go on and on
Why don’t we hear you complain about that?

And then have no money for a fair reasonable
Program for everyone else. Then charge no premium
For producers with the most coverage and charge other
Producers crazy amounts for no coverage.
Then have no market price when Alberta does?
Then want to pay for contracts signed that shouldn’t
Have and say hey that’s because of a drought
Yet rhe drought hasn’t affected others? But the
Answer is drive a 1980 Datsun. Maybe I should
Ask mommy and daddy to give me a 20 more
Likely 40 buck break on 2000 acre rent which
Means I could own a fleet of about 60 to 80 Datsun
                      For free.

Then why did they keep most Canadians solvent when the pandemic hit....so solvent most don't seem to want to go back to work.

Could you bring it together as if you were presenting it to the board?

No oil here. No irrigation here. No land given here. Just plain hard work. But I guess since you couldn’t make it, nobody can hey!🤣

Nobody forced you to farm in Saskatchewan. Come to Alberta if it is so rosy.

P.S.-try buying some of that high valued land. I bought 1500 acres of it. Not paid for, but still building working capital while paying for it!
