If elevators would take flax it would be gone. Don't need that headache.

But since it's binned I have to ask more for elevation on my farm. Hahaha

Sometimes the wolf at the door has the same last name, then your working the next 30 years for lil sisters fancy new house in the city. No matter how good of operator/money manager you are Mother Nature will always be the boss. Stay humble, and be thankful for what u have, and stop looking down on others u have no clue how fast things can change.
I will take the praise from my banker, saying she has never seen this done before by someone strictly farming, over an anonymous poster on the internet that says they need a second job to feed their family.

Lol what hasn’t your banker seen before? A 34 year old who owns f all!! rents everything and still has mommy’s titty milk on his top lip lmao. U ain’t foolin anyone on here! And I’m proud to work my ass off for my wife and kids. My greatest success won’t b what I farm or how much money I have when I die, it will b knowing I’ve raised my kids to know the value of a dollar and how hard work pays off, and to treat everyone with respect no matter what they have, My biggest fear isn’t going broke, it’s the fear I raise my kids and they turn out to be an inconsiderate ignorant clueless little punk internet trolls like u.

          Lol well that escalated quickly.

First 4 quarters paid for in the next 4 years. Other 6 and a second house just bought last year. And remember land trades for double in alberta, than what it does in saskatchewan. First house paid for.

Your net worth must be in the tens of millions to be talking like that...

          Have fun working this winter!

And if not wanting to pay for a bail out for someone that wasted the money from the good years makes me all those names, well I guess that is what i am.

Just remember flea, life doesn't always run smoothly for everyone.

I’m a couple years older then you, I own 26 quarters of high quality grain land in mb, not sk. So u can figure net worth, and I rent 0. My winter job I make 75-100k in 4 months I’m home every night. So ya I don’t have to work 2 jobs but I want to. It’s got me to where I am now and I haven’t had a cent handed to me from my family or any kind of government program.

Flea I have a question because I had lots of grain that I decided not to carry over because $24.00 was too good to not cash in. Why didn't you sell and bank the cash?

Also own more land is way better than renting. You have your family's 1/3 to inherit or buy. Buy it early than late if you have siblings.

Yes If you're in a tax problem Buy equipment and use the 100%

                    Drought is like flooding.

1st year was fun but by year 15 of continued rain, you get pissed and just want it to be over funny lots prospered why we suffered. Ag Stab does **** all because your margin slowly goes lower so the guy with 5 good years and one wreck gets payment and the guy who slowly is drying up over 5 years gets nothing. A stupid program that never pays.

Now revamp the Crop insurance to bring it from the 1960s to 2022 and there is your program.

The USA is who we compete against and western Canada takes on the USA treasury every year.

In Canada Dairy got 3 billion because they lost 2%.

**** off with I don't need payments for ag.

SNC lavilin laughs at you every day.

Trudeau gives money to a perpetual loser like Bombardier so no we shouldnt feel guilty about supports for a business that creates a million times more GDP. Crop insurance is already a socialized program so we all have the option to pay in and use it when needed.

Nobody should be cocky or spiteful in this business. Farms are started in all sorts of ways. Some levered on top of what was there, some started from scratch but thats becoming increasingly rare and may soon be impossible in the future.

It is important to remember that Protein Industries Canada is helping many companies get a start. So while they are helping them create minuscule demand and those same companies can extract their costs and profits from the protein market.

it seems odd that farmers wouldn't be supported and recognized as part of that value chain, rather than be left out in the cold when SHTF.

Well that is good for you then. Your hard work paid off.

Glad you don’t need the government dole to keep you going.
