Welcome to hyperinflation. Just like in Brazil, I'm not selling a kernel of wheat until I can take that money the next day and go buy fertilizer or some other input. Money in the bank this fall will be worth much less next spring. Pay up or kick rocks.

Canada has lots of durum to make pasta for its citizens. And other food stuffs.

It also has lots of oil and gas so we don't freeze.

          But guess what.

Store shelves will be empty and people will freeze.

Part of the problem in Europe is they weaned themselves off reliable power of coal and gas far too early before they realized the wind and sun power isn't quite as reliable 24/7.

Its a tough lesson to be begging Russia for Natural gas , one would think.

And here in Canada we just shut down our resources so we couldn't supply our allies.

As for food we send our durum away to made into pasta because we don't have the population to justify the pasta plant and didn't give fat boy enough money to build it.
