World famine right around the corner.
Our crops are priced half of what they should be.
If there was another drought here next year.

Yep not a market moving frost event at all. May have lost 400,000 t. Drop in the bucket. Not good for those who got hit but remember average yield is barely 25 bu/ac in west Australia. When you think of it many Canadian wheat growers still waste at least ¼ million tonnes every year. Nice wheat trampled and lost in the sprayer tracks during "harvest management".

Mother Nature did harvest management this year in a vast majority of western Canada .
Natural dry down for most of the cereals , swathed the barley here .
Perfect fall to do weed management after harvest
Got a nice premium on the barley for malt for not being sprayed over feed .

Contrary to those that assume , not every acre has sprayer tracks , so assumptions on yield loss can be way over exaggerating at times .
Frost loss can be severe , those of us with years of experience know full well how costly frost events can be .
