As far as name calling. Am I the only one? LOL
You cry babies deliver your fair share of name calling and more. You can dish it out but your sure can't take it.
The bigger problem is the nonsense and lack of evidence that goes with it from many of the usual suspects. Reply With Quote Like
Just one of your many many postings telling everyone else they’re stupid, Chucky
On this very thread LOL
Take a page from AF4 and come to the table with something intelligent , grown up shall we say
Then maybe someone will take you serious
So if you are on a mission to clean up Agrisilly are you going to speak out about all the alleged name calling, put downs and insults or are you just going to complain about mine? LOL
And calling out nonsense and lack of evidence is part of a normal debate.Last edited by chuckChuck; Oct 20, 2021, 07:27.

Is there a plan in place to ensure proper power within the grid to handle all the EV’s that they think by 2030 and beyond ?? Especially during winter and mid summer .
I have yet to see any plan nationally other than have the individual spend another $20,000 after the EV purchase to set up their home charging system.
Yes I see charging stations set up it some area from AF4 map , and a new charging station here in NB at the Co -op , that’s still all just tied to the exsisting grid.
So all I see is a further draw down on the current system.
Are there any more power stations in the plans right now ? Natural Gas , hydro , nuclear..... anything ?
Those projects take at least a decade to get running
I see nothing anywhere
That hydro plant in BC a go ? Or is it still mothballed .
Without some major new power source ASAP is this whole EV thing just a pipe dream ??

That’s a major problem if nothing planned .
The current grid will have no chance to handle this EV dream by 2030 or even to 2040.
So is common sense going to kick in that zero FF cars by 2030 is even remotely possible ?

RBC just said it will cost Canada $2T to get to net zero. LOL Canada will default long before any of that happens.

Sask power is building more gas plants, installing more wind and importing hydro from MB. And looking at small nuclear.
Not sure about Alberta. But Alberta is building a very large solar farm. The largest in Canada. And they are winding down coal and likely replacing it with more gas just like Saskatchewan,.
So that equals nothing?
To know what is going on you need to be at the planning table for large utilities.
Surely they are planning for a significant increase in EVs.
But EV adoption will likely be slower here than many other areas of North America, Europe, and Asia.

Canada and Russia face a much different situation than most of the world . Cold kills batteries, so charging will more excessive , unless something changes in that technology

apparently , that would be like perpetual motion , not possible
i can't wrap my head around it either , seems like you could charge as you drive
there is some braking that adds to charge
fascinating stuff , way over my head
