I actually think they will be able to basically
Make a perpetual energy type car. But the biggest
Obstacle would be how do you replace all the tax
Revenue from burning a gallon of gas? So charging
Or having charged batteries available at the new
So called fuel stations is rhe way. Unless somehow
Your on board computer connected to revenue Canada
Somehow and reported how many miles you travelled
And you were then charged for it?

They have had any Common components I've required right in stock. Even on a Sunday morning. The few parts I had to wait for came from the warehouse in Saskatchewan and did not hold up production on our end.
If you ever get stuck looking for something try Crossfield too. They are very good also. They also seemed to have different pricing sometimes better sometimes worse.

As for your perpetual energy car, I think you have been reading too many of Chuck's cut and pastes made by delerious physicis denying unreliable energy zealots, if you believe perpetual motion is possible.

Everyone need to accept that Chuck is here to provife comedic relief, not to be taken seriously.

But your last statement about taxing by the mile driven based on GPS is closer to reality than we probably realize.

Prepare for the consumer to bear end of life battery recycling costs:

In short, whoever ends up with a dead battery will likely have to pay a recycler to take it off their hands. .

Used electric vehicle batteries could be the Achilles' heel of the transportation revolution—or the gold mine that makes it real.

And as per the article, just the cost just to transport the battery to a recyling depot exceed the cost of material recovered.

I read elsewhere that an appropriate front end recyling fee would be $5000 per car, to cover the end of life costs, just like we pay with electronics and lead acid batteries now.

Wonder what servicing and upkeep would be
Compared to oil changes, engine rebuilds
                Etc?

And prepare for the consumer and taxpayer to bear the cost of cleaning up all the abandoned, orphaned and suspended oil and gas wells plus the oil sands tailing ponds and mines! The bill is in the hundreds of billions.
