Two things, the worker's have way more bargaining power now, and somebodies got to pay for these bonuses and wage increases.

Union employees at 12 Deere facilities voted against the tentative contract offer agreed to by their negotiators Oct. 30, the company said late Tuesday. Deere said that employees at two parts plants in Denver and Atlanta, who work under a separate contract, voted to approve the offer that had identical economic terms as the one that the company’s other employees rejected.

You might have to take your farm crew down to the JD plant Sask and put your own combines together. Show them how's it done.

Goes to show don’t count your chickens before they hatch. Workers got mother Deere by the balls. Signing bonus, 10% wage increase, they are paying them to strike for at least another couple months…..

This kind or thing is how we developed high inflation and interest rates in the teens last time around.

Deere Says It’s Done Bargaining After Striking Workers Reject Second Contract Offer
Company says it has made its best and final offer; UAW-represented workers are discussing their next steps

Marc Howze, the chief administrative officer for the farm and construction equipment manufacturer, said the company made its best and final offer in a six-year proposed contract that members of the United Auto Workers union voted down by a margin of 55% to 45%.

Deere says it will get parts and equipment from other factories outside the US. Deere says it is done negotiating the 6 year contract and will operate with non-union workers.

                        Cheers
