If all else fails, read and understand the original instruction and operators manuals... if you are having difficulty understanding complex problems, created during operations. Consulting the design engineer, if at all a possibility, can give valuable further insight into modifications in operational procedures... when encountering difficulties with results during operations... and not getting the results defined in the design specifications of a complex invention.
The shortest way to solve a complex problem is understanding what caused that problem in the first place.
