We don't even know if they are sandbag the data, it could be a 2 day/2week/2 month or any variant they believe needs to be withheld of the numbers. If you know the infection curve, you can manipulate your actions to appear to have effect. Especially if you drag data a month

What evidence is there that if offers initial protection? The vaxxed people getting covid could be asymptomatic just like some of the unvaxxed still are. The evidence of initial protection is pretty evident, for months there have been far more cases in the 20 % of the unvaccinated population than there is in the 80% of the vaccinated population. Despite what Taiga says the majority of ICU admissions also have been unvaccinated. But I agree, the tables are turning quickly and it appears the virus is once again over powering the vaccine after this initial resistance. Interestingly enough I haven’t heard the word variant in about 3 months, the media must not be wanting to play that angle any longer
