If you want marketing topics, pitch some. I dont know what else is to talk about. If you have $24 canola around sell that shit and relax.

I am sorry if covid offends you but I am keeping an eye on our govt on this issue because I am convinced it will bleed into many others in the future possibly even ag.
I assume you are referring to me. I am not a huge contributor but have done my fair share over the years. No you done offend me but you realize you guys are mostly speaking to the choir ? Those that are vaxed have moved on. For sure govt overreach is a concern in a lot of areas. Carbon tax, estate tax, the list goes on. I never got $24 canola yet, did sell some on friday for $23. Looking to make a wheat sale @ $12.60

Sold some 2CPS Friday for $11.51… there is a huge difference between different elevators. $17 yellow peas were offered locally as well… shop samples around, not much to sell… but planning where to sell ahead… has always been a smart idea…

Some buyers are really aggressive… not many uncommitted stocks out there it seems!

I agree the lockdowns are a very long way being over… supply chain breakdowns and chaotic volatility is the trademark of this pandemic…

Hopefully by sharing information we can be better equipped to meet the wild times ahead!!!

Cheers, all the best Crusher in this new phase of your farming life… many Blessings!

Peas will probably be affected by India’s new tarrifs? Think?

Quite honestly a break from this site can do anyone a world of good, the jibberish and insults that come from a select few require a thick skin.

It’s best to leave if you’re unable to handle the toxic personalities.

          Clearly stated, JWAB.

Some people believe in censorship. Some not. Maybe crusher believes in censorship?

Joe and Tom and MaryRose can click on a beef-price thread on Agriville. (Or likely won’t, if cows are sacred where they live). Click on auction sales. Or not. Genetic modification. Or not. They can even change their mind in two weeks time, after deciding censorship is not in their own best interest, and click on all the threads, whilst cursing silently at the one that annoys.

Choice is a right/decision most Canadians enjoy each day, in spite of the drama of the outrage poured on them by those who strive to destroy the principle of choice.

China’s CCP Govt made their political decision to allow you to read only what they think/feel you should read. You only have to meet a few politicians in real life making real decisions for you to realize how incredulously naive you are to relinquish the principle of choice to them.

Farmers make annoying/serious choices countless times every day. Sneaking the cattle into the feed alley without closing the gate. Combining without renewing the farm’s fire insurance policy. But I observe farmers as being exceptionally careful in making their choices. Why? Because they customarily assume their sole ultimate responsibility for their choice. It’s called their $bottom line.

We are lucky to live in a country where a citizen is governed by the ability to choose what he needs.

Choice and freedom of speech are tied together; freedom of speech is necessary to make choices. Choice is necessary to keep freedom of speech.

And both choice and freedom of speech depend upon the principles of tolerance & fairness and duty.
          Let’s do our duty.

Like Putin bringing up 100,000 reserve troops to put on the Ukraine border... for a Jan/Feb invasion... Crimea worked just fine... who would stop Russia... Biden? HaHaHa...The Brits? HaHaHa...

Is Taiwan and China any different... if they hit both [Ukraine and Taiwan] at the same time...

China stopping Philippine supply ships in the south China Sea ... who will stop these takeovers... ???
What laws... 'The law of the 'bully'!

            Cheers!

Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out!!

There are plenty of good threads on Agriville, however this is very important because it brings together various views and information that help me make choices. Keep up the good work!

Interesting that commodity news reports talking about wheat … and the Russian Ukrainian wheat production

Russian wheat exports #1 - Ukrainian #6 Globally… with war/border skirmishes between them… how this can destabilize the wheat markets…

US $ up… wheat and grains up… flooding at Vancouver ports… more rain on the way…

Volatility for sure… Covid Vax disruption at the US|Canadian border with truck drivers in January after 2 years … now they (Biden) wants to disrupt our supply chains even further…

Crazy does not adequately describe these heavy handed irrational actions…

                Cheers

P.S. You can tell ol’e farmers and truck drivers…

But you sure can’t tell them much!

                  Parsley,
I believe in people respecting others and responding with polite constructive comments. It's my opinion too many are crossing the line. I find it irritating when posters resort to name calling etc etc. How is that adding value to this forum? Sorry if you don't see it that way, just the way I was raised. And it's not limited to Agriville, it's throughout social media.
