Actually legal immigration to the US is not easy. I have looked into it. Mind you I guess you just have to look Hispanic and come across the Rio grade but I am white and now they reinstated Trump's remain in Mexico policy so even that is not as easy as it once was. With passport in hand; and asking if it didn't need to be scanned; you may be waved through to the USA and later return to Canada without incident.

"Apparently even scan a passport"? I live really close to the border. I've never seen them not scan a passport on the US side.
