Mild weather has gave guys a break in feed consumption this last month cows still out pickin with odd visits from feed wagons. Last nice day here than cold front moves in plug tractors in for tomorrow chore time. You can drive anywhere in our fields now most snow we had couple weeks ago melted.

Oats-$9/bu del Dec - Jan(pending sample approval)
Canola-$19.95/bu del Jan - Feb
Ya prices are crazy. Definitely cutting back on how much barley our critters are getting when it’s worth 18.5 cents/pound and 600 pound heifers are worth 185 cents/pound. Doesn’t compute very well. I guess they’ll grow out a little slower than normal. Wish I could sell it instead of feeding it. Cattle prices are still waiting on “inflation†to kick in sometime………. Next year hopefully 🤞
Had three different brokers call today looking for barley so I guess it’s hard to come by yet😉

Surprized to see bred heifers trade to $3000 ave $23+ at Veteran last week.
Would they be taking a ride from there?
