Further to my topic I posted earlier about these G3 "units", I heard back today from Alliance Trust in Calgary. The value of my units (shares) is currently $4.48 each. I don't know if there's any variation depending on number of units you have but it's based on deliveries to G3 and you can't buy units, they're based on tonnes delivered to G3.
Additionally, the units can be sold once you reach age 75. No mention what happens to them if you croak earlier than that age. I did call the G3 elevator I've delivered to and they didn't have any information for me which seems odd. This all came in an e-mail from Alliance Trust. So I guess these "units" are worth something.
