We’re back south and it seems like life is back to normal down here. 38% of Florida has there third shot.

Some wear masks shopping which is different from November but everything is still the same.

Biden had a nice speech and trump even said get your shots it seems to work.

In canada skippy said spring will be better. I say if skipped gov fails by spring all Canadians lives will be better. It seems in canada all they do is try to scare Canadians into doing what ever they want. It’s time to move on get life back to some bit of normal.

Crop report it’s getting cold I hear and railways will have delays as low temps and trains don’t work. Works in other parts of the world but not in canada.

Crop insurance is still doing fall claims.

Ag stab is the worst program around finished a five year audit last spring they had all my grain sales from 2015 to 2020. I get a call my file got picked again and they need 2020 grain tickets. I said you have and I’m done I never collected and I never will so keep your useless program and pick some one else. It’s a total failure program.

New boo-boo gave 3 mill to canola growers to find sales for our canola. So let me get this straight that’s nice we will have hardly any to ship this year so not a priority. But it got me to thinking are farmers asking for their money back and this is a way to keep the organization going. Plus how could you disagree with the gov. And actually represent farmers if your getting money from the feds. See how this works.

Boo-boo is looking after potato farmers but when western canola farmers got screwed they did **** all.

    See a pattern.

Rest of the world is looking at carbon credits to farmers in canada they are looking at ways for con artists to make big money and dribble Pennie’s to farmers plus put all the risk on farmers.

Land prices continue to climb and that’s great but here is a example

You own 10 quarters with zero debt.

Land is selling at $500000 a quarter your worth $5 mill on paper ask your banks if you could put it all at risk and buy 30 for 15 mill. That’s 25% down.

They will laugh at you I guarantee.

Then explain how your land is really worth 300000 a quarter and they would borrow a couple millions.

Investors the more you want the more they give.

City peoplekind buying a little condo in Toronto for 2.5 can get a 25 year mortgage with min down and only need a few people working.

Who has a real asset and who has a piece of scrap concrete and wood.

Farmers are losing the land battle and it’s happening right before our eyes now.

So as we all get ready to meet with family and friends over the holidays. Enjoy social distance wear a mask if you want but let’s get back to normal, life is to short to believe skippy has a real plan for us. Hey hew will disappear for the next two weeks and no one will even ask where he is.

I’m off to golf with my buddies this morning in central Florida.

    Merry Christmas

Thats an easy one. Because Canadian bank lending is all for homes autos and credit cards, they shun small business unless they have big security including a family member who would dive in with you.

I once tried to give a quarter as security to FCC. They insisted my dad tie up his quarter as well.

Between covid and the crop production problems, my farm debt repayment has gone from a 20 yr venture down to a 2 yr one. Unbelievable.

Merry Christmas from our herd to yours🍻

The kids decorated the tree completely by themselves for the first time yesterday after I finally found a few minutes to cut one down. Not too shabby for a swamp spruce. Time sure flies🍀

                  Take care🎄

First year kids decorated tree by themselves as well. We have pictures of me lifting up my daughter to put the angel on. This year I provided a ladder. They grow up too fast.
