Most aussie of the opinion stuff China stick to your guns.

All we want to find out is what the heck really happened in wuhan.

And to much is Chinese owned in oz hence foreign investment changes.

We have right wing conservative govt.

My guess is left will get in next election they will be Chinese lap dogs.

Go back in history here conservative govt two or three terms then socialists for one at best two terms.

We here in Canada are having our difficulties with China as well, especially after the USA told us to arrest that lady. Our Liberal government under the stewardship of JT held strong. Although he stopped short of outright giving China the finger JT told China they could go ahead and apply tariffs on western Canadian products until they were blue in the face and he could not care less.

P.S. good on you Australia for standing up to China.

Still awaiting a decision on hauwei 5G. Australia, New Zealand, USA and UK have made their mind up a long time ago. Why is it taking so long for Canada to come to their senses? We need to maintain our close relationship with the above four nations. Trying to appease China after ming has gone home is going to gain Canada absolutely nothing. For far to long we have been chasing cheap Chinese goods, it needs to stop.

I would never defend numbnuts or his party but this might actually be kinda clever. Any telecom company upgrading their systems (and there are plenty doing it right now) aren't using any Huawei gear because of the fear of doing it over again. It's pretty much certain that it will be banned just like in the other 5 Eyes countries. The chinese gear doesn't get used and you don't have to poke the CCP to formally ban it. Win Win.

Yes it’s like the phones too. Was a big push by Hauwei on the Mate 20 and the like. Capability of a top end IPhone for 1/2 the price. Every carrier had some sweet plans with those until the Meng debacle. Still think you can get them but no one will touch them with a 10 foot pole.

I was also wondering if skippy wasn’t hoping if he said nothing China would not hold anything against him. However, that is not the way the Chinese Communist Party plays the game.

The Chinese bugged out the Nortel head office so bad and stole so much info it broke them and allowed Hauwei to come to be. Sad thing CSIS knew about the leak and told Nortel but they didn’t do anything about it. When CSIS acquired the Nortel building for their hq the amount of espionage devices found caused them to gut the thing to the girders. The CCP is evil and anyone in the free world are stupid if they think they can deal with them and not get screwed in some capacity.

Good to see Australia come out OK.

China is on a big power play. IMHO it hasn't realy exposed it yet.
One day we will look closer and it will already have happened.
Does that make me a conspiracy theorist?
