    Cost of Food

The cost of groceries is making headlines.

Wouldn't it be nice to see on food labels how much carbon tax was part of the price?

I know, I know. No way to measure. But, I wonder, how many times is the tax applied?
From breeding/caring of the initial product to heating/cooling the retail store.

It would be even better to know what the Weston's current price fixing scam is.

They have the excuse as to why they can , but the numbers don't match when they price fix.

We don't have a government that would even consider investigating it.

Last time they admitted to price fixing the government OK'd the 25 dollar gift cards and then gave them money for new freezers.

Really, and cause the green wackos to completely flip their lids.

Wen Doug Ford legislated that gas stations had to post the carbon tax cost per liter on their pumps, the greediots went nuts.

CTV had a news story about the price of food. Don't think they even mentioned the carbon tax. They attributed the increase to covid related supply problems. The cost of food will only increase in value as the carbon tax does, long after covid has run its course.

This topic has been driving me crazy for awhile!! The news says inflation is high and point fingers at everyone from greedy farmers to inadequate transportation industry to covid disruptions…………but not one story on the price of carbon tax on everything at every level compounding every time anything is sold, used, or transported!!

So the carbon tax is to blame for all the food inflation?

So how come food prices are also rising in the US where there is no carbon tax?

It couldn't have anything to do with the increasing price of oil and fuel prices due to supply and demand?

            Or commodity prices?

Or drought and other production issues?

Or excess profiteering by the food industry.

            Or supply chain issues?

            Labour shortages?

            Or?

On the states farm news this morning. How are farmers going to make it when carbon tax hits $170/tonne. Farmers have no way of recouping the cost. If all the taxes go in that are proposed there won’t be a middle class just ultra rich and poor

Payroll deductions are going way up for 2022. Way more taxes to pay for 2022. The govt is going to take it before you make it.

I've posted a few times about the compounding effects of the carbon tax.

I think that if Erin O'tool wanted to get rid of the carbon tax, the best thing he could've done, would have been to make the Carbon Tax a visible tax, just as GST is. Business would likely hate the paper work but the population would hate the Tax after one year. Sk government has done that with our Gas and Power bills, good for everyone to see what they're paying into this scam.

                    Or money printing
                    Or low interest rates
Or the fact our resident moron in charge paid people to do nothing

Since the carbon tax money has already been spent on covid tomfoolery, it is here to stay. Cost of living has gone up big time this past year and the blame for almost all of it is bad government. Estimated December utility bills on our farmstead to be up 60% from last Dec. The colder weather is partly to blame but a secondary factor behind bad government. Well the only hope in 22 is that economic depression derails government war games in world war C in the new year.
