When I was a young man 30 years ago the climate experts said there would be no skiing in the Canadian Rockies within 10 years……..,not once in the last 30 years has there not been skiing in the Rockies! More snow than ever this year.
I’m starting to think they were lying to us?

Enjoy your southern trip, we are out of here this week!!!

Be careful making an offer like that. Chuck might just take you seriously. Remember how upset he was that Saskatchewan doesn't have strong enough offshore drilling regulations.

Vancouver Olympics they went on and on that kids born at that time would not ever have snow when they were growing up! Never being able to ski or slide down hills.
Sound like this year they are getting a little sick of snow!

I'm at 3300 ft. You can probably send me the evacuation message by snail mail, I think that would be enough warning.
At 3.4 mm per year, I've only got 300,000 years before I need to evacuate as well.

Good views if you can get a property right on the bay.

Netflix has a new good movie you should watch called Don't Look Up. Its near the top of the streaming list and getting lots of buzz.

An astronomer discovers a 9 km across comet on a collision course with earth. A similar one hit off the coast of Mexico 66 million years ago and caused the extinction of the dinosaurs and 75% of all species on earth.

In the movie with numerous A list stars, the scientifically challenged start a campaign to don't look up. I guess if you don't see or believe there is a comet, it will go away along with the problem.

It's hilarious and a great commentary on our current social media crazed political culture whether you think human caused climate change is real science or not.

I guess if the oceans aren't rising you wont need to look up or down. Just have another margarita. But don't forget to put your sun screen on and use other prophylactics when necessary.

And don't worry about another heat wave or similar drought of 2021, 2020. That was just part of the conspiracy and hoax.

                                https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/sea-level/

                                In Brief:

Global sea levels are rising as a result of human-caused global warming, with recent rates being unprecedented over the past 2,000-plus years.

Sea level rise is caused primarily by two factors related to global warming: the added water from melting ice sheets and glaciers and the expansion of seawater as it warms. The first graph tracks the change in sea level since 1993 as observed by satellites.

The second graph, derived from coastal tide gauge and satellite data, shows how much sea level changed from about 1900 to 2018. Items with pluses (+) are factors that cause global mean sea level to increase, while minuses (-) are variables that cause sea levels to decrease. These items are displayed at the time they were affecting sea level.

The data shown are the latest available, with a four- to five-month lag needed for processing.
