Financial markets don't seem to regard the apparent Fed desire to boost interest rates and engage in tapering as terribly good news.
If Covid whiplash did not body slam the economy sufficiently, then 4 rate hikes will probably do the trick.

Mountain of wheat in the world neutral bearish even.
Rest of grain oilseed legume complex I’m slightly bullish
Any of you gurus plot Kansas Nebraska wheat yields over last 20yrs and overlay with cbot wheat. Is there actually any correlation?
Will it be a market mover or a market stabiliser at these current levels but not pushing higher.

The Chinese Communist Party manipulates its statistics. This is neither an opinion nor a revelation: it’s a simple fact, critical to understanding China today. Chairman Xi Jinping demands that Chinese journalists prioritize loyalty to the Party over truth or accuracy. Li Keqiang, who now runs China’s economy as the premier, once smilingly told the U.S. ambassador that most Chinese statistics are “for reference only,†and that statistics on gross domestic product especially are “man-made".
You might say ChiCom statistics are whatever they think is best for them?Last edited by shtferbrains; Jan 10, 2022, 16:38.

What it comes down to is that every bloody government in the world does that, putting out the info that best serves their interests.. The dominant mantra carries the day.
What's surprising/shocking/sickening is that it so poorly recognized where it matters the most/
