I don't care if you want to stay unvaccinated and take care of yourself at home, but when your bad decisions cause other people to be denied healthcare to those who have acted responsibly, then you have gone to far.

Effectively you are taking away other peoples freedom and access to timely healthcare.
I apologize for filling what is usually a good thread with covid crap.

    This came from Global news last summer;

Admissions to intensive care units, nevertheless, were lower by 22 per cent during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic from March 2020 to June 2020, as compared to 2019.

Three-quarters of patients visiting hospitals with COVID-19 infections, “actually went home,” Hunt said, “and of the remainder, only 20 per cent or so would actually get a hospitalization.”
While fewer people were taken into intensive care units for cardiac conditions, strokes or pneumonia, there was a notable spike of 41 per cent “in the number of non-surgical emergency admissions for major respiratory conditions, mostly COVID-19 patients,” according to a report on the CIHI website.
Cases with major respiratory conditions requiring ventilation, including many with COVID-19,” rose by 129 per cent in April, but in totality, “17 per cent fewer people required ventilation” during the first wave compared with March to June 2019, the report said.
However, emergency department (ED) visits decreased considerably in Canada from February 2020 to June 2020.

While participating jurisdictions reported more than 85,400 ED visits for COVID-19 from January to November 2020, regular ED footfall dropped to their “lowest point in April,” when compared to 2019, the report on the CIHI website further cited.
Less urgent and non-urgent visits decreased the most, by about 50 per cent, followed by urgent and emergent visits, at just more than 40 per cent. Visits that involved resuscitation decreased the least, by around 30 per cent. All levels increased in June but remained about 20 per cent below normal compared with the previous year,” the report said.

So basicly comparing how busy the hospitals were compared to 2019 pre covid.
You might have to read it twice as I found it unbelievable first time thru.

The article wasn't meant to expose anything. This was just kind of tacked on the end of a thing about increased hospital costs due to covid.

This week is definitely not going according to plan here…………

The critters are all doing good at least. Our youngest daughter was feeling rough earlier this week and graciously shared it with my wife and I. My wife picked up some rapid covid tests while she was in town the other day. She tested herself and our daughter and both were positive. I’ll assume I got it too since I’m in rougher shape than my wife. Running a fever with a dry cough and headache and scratchy eyeballs. Kinda like a regular cold/flu without the congestion. The other kids are skipping school for this week and our son is quite happy about that. Hanging out in the house with a bunch of sick people is highly overrated. 😉

The rest of the crew brought in the herd of bred heifers and calves and split them yesterday. Three hours to split 900 head yesterday so they are doing real good even being short handed. Today they’re going to try out the new ultrasound machine and my oldest is quite disappointed that she’s not there to help…… as am I.

Hopefully we can get healed up and back to normal soonish. We really wanted to take the kids away to a hotel and spend some time with them for a couple days. I guess this will have to do for now😎

Kinda an in-house experiment here now. So far my wife and I are double vaxxed and sick. 1 out of 4 kids are sick and they’ve had no shots. Social distancing not possible or even attempted with little kids.

P.S. The warm weather is amazing after all the cold and snow. 🍀

As far as over educated VS undereducated people , I think what our dear friend Chuck doesn't get is the fact that we have a country FULL of people who don't have a god damn clue as to where their food comes from , who grows it , who does all of the hard work to get it to market , and think that the CBC and CTV are telling them the gospel truth about everything every single f###ng day!

Along with that statement is the fact we have ONE province who has elected and re-elected one of the most ill equipped leaders and his "gender neutral" band of fools who don't know ( or don't really care?) about the fact that they are strangling to death the sectors of this country that are actually paying the bills. That entire Liberal cabinet has people with varying degrees , or diplomas and degrees , and they screw shit up every day , day in day out , and nobody for some mysterious reason seems to be upset out in Ontario for how stupid Justin and his clowns are?

Bottom line: Just because you have more degrees than a thermometer doesn't mean you are educated and smarter than everybody else in the room.

Maybe if this country was run with some "dirt farmers arithmetic " we would have a country we are proud of , instead of ashamed of.

Thanks SK and Sheep, your positive posts should pay dividends on non farmer views of Agriculture.
Reluctant Millennial here... Just busting my ass every damned day trying to eek out a meager living for my family.

Perhaps I'm an exception to the rule, but regardless, if you really want to pin millennials on someone... What were their parents up to while this entire generation supposedly went off the commie deep end?

I suspect that a lot of them were also too busy busting their tails trying to provide for their family, to notice that they were sending their kids to be exposed to relentless socialist propaganda at school and University and in the TV shows and movies they watch.

Dont have to look any further than Regina own new mayor to see the woke silly season this new generation in power is working on.

                      Lets see what are her memorable policies in the past year;

                      1. Declare climate emergency
                      2. Ban fossil fuel advertisemen
                      3. Take down some statues
                      4. declare the city will be renewable by 2030
                      5. Fines for people erasing LGBQT rainbow chalk on the sidewalks.

Yeah this is what we are dealing with now. Some parents form 25 yrs ago should be tarred and feathered.

Don’t blame the mayor so much. She voted against most of that to be fair. She was very vocal regarding the fossil fuel advertising.

I'm not the one you need to convince that the vast majority of Millennials are contributing to society, pulling their weight and have common sense, I see it all around me in my circle.

Not about to address the issue regarding how other parents raised their Millennials, only going to make comment on the many I know who are doing extremely well.

I'll leave your last question to SK and Sheep to answer, their the ones passing judgement on the educated and Millennials.

                                Our education system sucks.

University is worse any one who ever went would understand LOT OF SOCIALISTS taught there bs. Smart individuals got the plaque paper and cap and then made decisions for themselves succeeded.

                                Prove me wrong.

It’s a crop report it’s winter and grain prices are having issues with news everyday of poor yields all over the place yet they drop.
