French economist Frederic Bastiat once penned a story about a "negative railway" which would be achieved by dismantling some track every so often. Then people would have to be hired to unload and reload the trains at all the gaps. People thought this would be a great way to create jobs.

He pointed out this this would not add jobs but destroy them by making the railway system much less efficient.

The US and Canadian truckers will both need to be vaccinated as of Jan 15th to enter Canada. US was trying something similar for 22nd but unsure how their Supreme Court ruling will affect that.

If there are food shortages things will get ugly quick especially in winter.

On the 22 the change is that canuckistani truckers are no longer exempted from US 'vax' requirements to cross the border into the US. What the supreme court victory ensures is that there will be no 'vax' needed to go across state borders. That is the nightmare scenario up here in the frozen wasteland. Truckers will need to be 'vaxxed' to cross from SK into AB for example.

Anyone heard of switching the trailers Trucking Co's do at the border? Driver quarantine issues Not a good 'policy' I agree... but less disruptive than many suggest.

One caveat, if your vaccinated no testing required. So yes you certainly could be Covid positive and vaccinated and cross the border. Remember the narrative though, it is the unvaxxed that are spreading the virus!
