I know a person doesn’t know if she can get into nursing with a 90 average?

They only have so many spots available so they can ration the access by requiring very high marks.

If there was more spots they can accept more students. They need more instructors and all the resources required. Without an increase in budgets they can't offer more students an opportunity.

Post secondary institutions are struggling with budget cuts in many cases.

Isn't post secondary education a provincial responsibility?

The federal government made billions of dollars available to the provinces for healthcare for Covid but didn't want any trailing expenses.
Meaning they wanted all the money to buy things but no bricks and mortar type projects.

Billions spent it just basicly evaporated and we are left with nothing but higher than ever Covid numbers and buinesses starting to close permanently

Underfunding healthcare educational opportunities and forecasts of health care worker shortages predates covid.

Covid just made it much worse.

No, covid just pulled the curtain away from what was always there, just hidden from the public eye and defended by a lot of apologists who cant admit they might be wrong. So the failing system endures, until it doesnt.

The fault of not enough training with nurses is not enough spots. Provide the spots.
Of course professional groups have always restricted supply to drive up their value. DR.S pharmacists , optometrists etc. A cartel by another means.
At 60% of the cost of the US system keep your grubby enrich your friends, privatization mitts off of it.
