The "freedom" Maverick Party convoy looks to be going down the path of losing any little credibility it had.

Now that all the far right wing nuts are planning on showing up in Ottawa and repeating the January 6th insurrection at the capitol, the organizers have a huge public relations challenge. What could possibly go wrong.

If you ask 99.9% of doctors about the covid vaccines they would tell their patients to get vaccinated so you reduce infection, reduce the risk of serious illness and reduce the risk of spread to vulnerable people.

A very small percentage of the population have decided that social media and anti vax wing nuts give better advice than doctors and are very confused about preventative health care and the meaning of freedom.

If you recall, the purpose of the mass vaccination campaign was to end the pandemic and allow people to resume their normal lives. In other words, to restore freedom.

Now we are into year three with cases, hospitalizations and deaths at record highs despite around 90% of the population being fully vaxxed. The only "solution" being offered is a third shot whose effectiveness is about half of the previous two with lockdowns to boot.

More and more people are rightfully angry about the total lack of accountability for the authorities who are delivering a litany of failures.

Unvaccinated truckers have been doing their jobs all the way through the pandemic. To suddenly think they shouldn’t be able to continue their job would be just as stupid as firing unvaccinated doctors & nurses. People seemed grateful to them for the first year of the pandemic too.

The majority of truckers across Canada are still working hard to deliver goods and supplies. If there’s a disruption of supply, even if you, Trudeau and the media want to blame a convoy, it’s only to try to, once again, distract people from the truth.

Not to say I have any idea where the truth is. Governments across the world have worked hard to make many facts unavailable. Ask yourself why. If you choose to believe them without asking questions, at least they allow you to be free to follow blindly. Yay! Freedom for Riders2010.

I wonder how many double and triple vaxxed people with season tickets to a Jets game feel free to go? Or the many 1000s of farmers who enjoy attending AgDays in Brandon? Our wonderful vaccine gives us freedom I’m told. It sure doesn’t stop any of us from catching it, and many vaccinated are sicker for days longer than their unvaccinated friends or family. I know many who are looking for answers before going for any more shots. At least I can understand the support from people around the world who want answers and freedom both.
