Trucker convoy has evolved into something far more dangerous

The latest count on the "freedom convoy" from the Kingston police:

"While the size of the convoy has been a source of debate, the Kingston police said it had counted 17 full tractor trailers, 104 big rigs without trailers, 424 passenger vehicles and six recreational vehicles."


That seems a lot smaller than predicted.

But as the Ontario police found out on some of the busiest roads in the country, its hard to tell the convoy from the majority of truckers who are just traveling down the road putting in an honest days work.

I guess the truth will be told when they roll into Ottawa. Have you been to Ottawa Chuck. It is a beautiful city isn’t it. Been there in the winter and spring and in the parliament buildings as well. Was fortunate to go on the forum for young Canadians when I was in high school and another time for a conference. Whatever we stand for here I hope the rally remains peaceful and people respect the parliament. It would be a shame if someone desecrated it because it is not at fault but those in it.

But, I can honestly say that I after seeing the outpouring of support for this movement across the country, I am proud to be Canadian for the first time in my adult life. At first, I couldn't fathom why they would be attaching Canadian flags to the convoy, but as events have unfolded, I think that was the right decision. Maybe there is something worth saving after all.

Still not convinced that this dysfunctional confederation could ever be salvaged, but if the rest of the country wants to prove me wrong, I would be more than happy to concede that I was wrong.

I have to agree with you on the Canada flag part of it, when eventually the walking candy apple fat head Trudope is voted out how is anyone going to reverse all of the financial damage he has done, it is going to take decades if it is even possible.
