    Pot Calling The Kettle Black

Can anyone take this guy seriously anymore? "The last thing we need now is higher taxes"

Well, buddy, 1) CPP is NOT a tax It's a pension. and 2) you and the UCP have been very busy making the cost of living more expensive in alberta.

    - de-indexing the personal income tax brackets. The brackets no longer rise with inflation. In real terms, this is a higher tax.

    - increased tuition rates

    - removed caps on insurance rates and electricity rates

    - increased fees at registries

    - increased provincial park camp rates

Land title searches have been $10 for a long time. in Spring 2021 the UCP announced they would privatize the land titles office, stating rates would go up to 50/search. Thankfully under pressure from the RMA and others they backed off on that idea in the fall.

Seems a lot of his BS attacks can be directed in the mirror. Question is how many of his followers are suckered into believing this BS?

    Regarding AB titles.
They are backed up by months usually.
Other jurisdictions have gone online decades ago. A modernization long overdue.

He is not totally wrong. AB pays a disproportionate amount into CPP because if its younger higher skilled and more productive workforce. So an increase in CPP contributions hits home harder. That little problem can be solved by withdrawing from the CPP and starting an APP.

I dont know what Kennys MO is but he is really treading water now. If he doesnt pivot into fight mode right now, he is toast. What a waste of 4 yrs.

If you think raising the cost to 50 bucks is the biggest hazard of privatizing the registry, you'd better take a closer look at the effect that privatizing land titles registry will have on private property ownership.

It won't take long to see the real value of a title erode to zero.

Sorry, you're gonna have to explain that one.
