I take issue with the media upset about causing traffic gridlock in Ottawa.
Is it really true that anyone still drives in Ottawa? These are the people who have imposed CO2 taxes on us, have disparaged fossil fuels, and vehicles, have spent millions on bike paths and making the city pedestrian friendly, even recieving awards for being pedestrian friendly. This is the city where climate Barbie lectured us about our CO2 foot print while she snow shoed to work on a clean sidewalk. The city where they spend a fortune making the Rideau Canal into a skating rink, and building outdoor rinks.
They have an extensive bus and light rail system ( built by none other than SNC Lavalin, under dubious terms, just google it).
And now they have no excuse not to use the sidewalks and bike paths since the truckers have cleared the snow and the locals garbage, and made the streets safe from thugs, plus there is now a massive police presence making it even safer to be a pedestrian.

Is anyone in Ottawa seriously hypocritical enough to still drive a vehicle on roadways?

And if they still do, then this is their chance to set the example for the rest of the country, and go net zero, start walking and biking everywhere, use the public transit. Show the truckers that they aren't even inconveniencing them at all by blocking the roads. If Catherine McKenna can snowshoe to work, then surely everyone else in Ottawa can find a way without driving. Then the truckers can stay there forever and you will never need to meet their demands, just walk around them.

Hilarious police point out the video Burnt posted is all crap.

Ottawa Police denied allegations of officers bringing supplies to protesters on Saturday made in a video posted on social media.

“Police are not providing food, fuel or any other supplies to demonstrators,” the police said in a tweet. “There is a video circulating that shows officers bringing in boxes of food and supplies to other officers working at the demonstration.”

Sort of like Sheep's so called friend in Ottawa claiming unemployed Anti-Vaxxer Truckers are giving food to the homeless.

More like their giving the homeless their food back.

This BS about emergecy vehicles is just that. I may be wrong, but as far as I know, police and fire and ambulance don't have authority to cross the border do they? Do RCMP respond to a break an enter on the US side of the border? Do Canadian ambulances routinely go and pick up US citizens to bring back to use out public health care system? Do fire departments on both sides of the border have agreements with their counterparts to help each other out, and to cross the border without delay?

Edit, I just realized that this was posted in the Ottawa blockade thread, not the Coutts thread. The emergency vehicle access is a genuine issue in Ottawa. Probably the only genuine concern in both instances. I will post also this in the other thread where it belongs.
