Unless I did something wrong the "givesendgo.com" site donations maybe US dollar based so adjust your donation accordingly. After I donated I checked on my credit card company it showed me that I donated US dollars and there is a automatic fee added to your charge.

I found the same that it is unclear weather it is in US funds or not. It is possible that it is necessary to have funds held in a regional US bank so canuckistanian authorities can't freeze it. You can edit the Give send go fee to 0 if you do not wish to pay the site anything and it will still work. Just choose other and put 0 in the box.
