you know what i think of the natives plight ,problem was on most of the blockades it was paid protestors or paid heredity chiefs calling the shots, not the average native jammed into a little shack with no clean water , they like us in the west have no say
some natives i still talk to were really excited about the LNG project that was gonna go at fort nelson , only to have it ripped away by paid US protestors
to answer your questions , yes, some blockades are the only way , if it is for the greater good of the country

        ChuckC,

When a 'strike' takes place... picket lines go up... and maximum inconvenience to 'scabs' crossing those picket lines , shaming, yelling, body blocking, are all accepted forms of Strikers rights to inconvenience to the maximum those who cross the picket line.

Like the Tow companies refusing to take the trucks away in Ottawa causing the so called 'state of emergency'.

        Background:

Removing trucks could be almost 'impossible,' say heavy towing experts
        Mon, February 7, 2022, 2:00 AM
Trucks are parked south of a police roadblock on Metcalfe Street on Sunday as a protest against COVID-19 restrictions extends into its second week. Police say there are 500 trucks in the main protest area, and towing experts say they could be incredibly hard to remove. (Justin Tang/The Canadian Press - image credit)

Heavy-duty towing experts say it will be difficult or impossible to remove the hundreds of heavy trucks entrenched in Ottawa's downtown — unless the drivers allow it.

CBC counted 40 trucks on Kent Street and 109 on Wellington Street Friday, with dozens more on other streets spread around the downtown core. Then on Saturday, Ottawa police said 500 heavy trucks were in the so-called "red zone."

Trucker Lloyd Crowe from Picton, Ont., has been parked just a couple of blocks away from Parliament Hill since last weekend, but he's not worried about being towed.

"If you know anything about truck air brakes, once you pull that button, all 18 wheels are locked," Crowe told CBC on Wednesday.

"Nothing can move it, except maybe a big wrecker. And no wrecker worth his salt is going to come anywhere near this, because they're on our side."

City struggling to find willing towing companies: sources

CBC spoke to multiple towing companies across Ontario and while many weren't willing to be interviewed, several sources told CBC that the companies contracted by the City of Ottawa were refusing to tow trucks involved with the demonstration.

The city would not confirm or deny this, saying only that its bylaw department "uses several contracted services to assist with towing vehicles throughout the city."

Towing companies must worry about legal liability. Is it worth it?

This is bigger than some tree huggers or pissed off natives.

Yes most protestors think they are acting in their best interests or the best interest of the country, group or special interests.

But that doesn't answer the question. Do you want unlawful blockades to be used until protestors occupiers get their way?

And to answer the question you don't need to rehash the arguments for or against any particular protest or blockade.

Revealing that you bring this Quote up...

"It takes one to know one."

There are non- genetically modified non-mrna vaccines that have been available for some months in the US... FDA approval now being given.,, that were funded by private foundations because the US government refused to fund them in preference to the mRNA vaccines. I have family waiting for the release to be vaxed with one of these.

Bringing in 'race'... intimidation... cancel culture woke insults... reveals weakness.

                  Cheers

So the call has gone out to the construction industry workers to roll into Ottawa next.

Will this not force the city to try even harder to get it turned around before then?

And will that not precipitate an even greater reaction?

Trudeau would rather watch it all burn down than give an inch.

So how does Trudeau end all provincial covid mandates when he is not responsible for them?
