There is more active support for the protest than active opposition. Sure the majority may not support it but the majority only matters every 4 years. The expectation of the majority is they elect a competent government which rules in their best interests. What is wrong is the riding of Papineau elects our dictator because he is party leader. For the powers which come with being PM it is the downfall of a constitutional monarchy. No system is perfect but it’s what we got, and when representatives of the ruling party are too scared weak or in with an incompetent PM to punt him, the system does not function. It’s a hard spot but the people need to make a big stink to enact a change.
