Gutless coward, won't even defend going full dictator and implementing the EMA.

How long till the rest of the party turn on the absent groper?

No accountability, especially with a minority government.

That's how democratic oversite works. And then if voters still don't support it they can vote the Liberals out in the next election. That's how democracy works in Canada.

Doug Ford supports it and Ontario voters are important to any party's success and I am willing to bet that Doug Ford will win the next election in June even though he supports the Liberals Emergencies act.
Chuck you are aware that it won’t come in front of parliament for seven days at the earliest. For the next seven days the Cabinet can basically do anything they want without any oversight or interference. So in your opinion that is democracy?

But you support the illegal trucker blockades at the border and in Ottawa? LOL

Justice Minister David Lametti cited tow trucks as one of the essential services that the government could direct ‘to relieve impacts of blockades on Canada’s economy’

More about tow trucks refusing to get involved.

If anyone in the towing industry is looking for advice, and if the "tow trucks all have covid" doesn't count during an Emergency Act event, then listen here.

We have this thing called a supply chain shortage. Can't get tires, brake drums, turbo's, electronic components, etc etc.

Remove the ECM or similar from every truck whenever the phone rings. We'd love to help, but sorry, parts back ordered indefinitely.

Tow trucks came from the US for the ambassador bridge clear out.

A lot of them will clear out on their own when they realize that they will lose their trucks and could have their bank and corporate accounts frozen.

I am surprised how easy it was to clear the other blockades. Only a few hard ass types were willling to go to jail or associate with violent extremists in Coutts.

Any truckers who lost a job because of vaccine mandate at the border could have easily gotten another job trucking in Canada anywhere they wanted.

I suspect that a lot of these guys wanted to party on parliament for awhile more before they go home.

So how are they going to explain that their operating truck is out on the highway rescuing a truck on a real job? Oh my ECU just failed but the engine is running? LOL

Unless they all refuse to go out of their compounds for regular calls which cost a lot of lost revenue they will be available to "help" out when needed.

As far as air brakes you just need an air supply or a caging tool and a 3/4 inch wrench to back off the spring and release the brake.

Senate majority leader Democrat Harry Reed changed laws to give themselves more power, thinking and assuming with the changing demographics,,, Democrats would forever hold the power in government.

Things changed and now Reed's changes have handcuffed Democrats.

Liberals are also assuming they will forever be in power,,, things will change and when it does, Liberals and Legacy Media should be ready for unending investigations.

This could stall in the Senate.

Something I haven't yet read anywhere. When this fails to pass or when it comes out that it was not legally justified, who would be legally liable? Those who invoked it, or those who enforced it, or does this act absolve all parties from responsibility even if it wasn't justified in the end?
If I am a lowly Bank employee or insurance agent and I comply with this and then it proves not to have been constitutional, am I opening myself up to liabilities for someone losing their business or missing a house payment and losing their house or getting a fine for no insurance?

No need to worry about that yet. If it fails in the senate a confidence vote will be next and probably Trudeaus resignation.

All the power they need, and what Police are doing today, is covered in the Ontario Emergencies Act already. They did it for the gravel haulers bit ago.

They will notify (in process right now ), the smart ones will leave, the rest will wish they did after the pepper-spray thins out. Not even the children used as shields are going to help.

Mr. Singh may have let a bit too much slip this morning regarding the knowledge of fully being aware it was an attack on elected officials to overthrow the government before the convoy even arrived. Everyone knows the core of the protest has nothing to do with mandates. People got suckered, and they will pay a very high price.

Edit: Mr. Singh has said they support the EA. Doesn't matter what the Cons say.

The other thing the legislation of the act is clear. Invoke, then debate. And the debate will be moot if the protestors leave.

So $10M to each trucker like terrorist murderer Khadr got?

Not a chance will anyone be pepper sprayed, charged or go to jail. None of the natives did when they blocked the rail lines with their trucks, none of the BLM radicals did when their counterparts torched US cities, none of the BC land defenders did, none of the church burners did either.

Ford read the polls last night. He wont be doing anything to ruin is chances. It will be a stalemate for at least another week until the EMA actually gets passed. If I was the truckers, I would call the Trudeaus bluff and watch the senate burn him.

Do you even live in Canada?
