You missed the point. What good is an EMA without enough forces to enforce it.

That is the point of the EMA, to obtain more resources when the emergency exceeds the ability of the province to deal with it. Like what snake Kenney asked for.

They were able to do a huge circle of checkpoints (not allowed under provincial law) and secure officers from multiple provinces. Able to get tow trucks and end this pathetic embarrassing occupation.

No one even knows how many thousand officers are there.

It took 3 weeks, 4 weeks if you consider the advance notice the convoy gave before they even started, to amass enough forces to route a small fringe minority of unarmed truckers, and it looks like it will take 3 days, at least. Figure out what happens if this is repeated at multiple locations across the country.

And in spite of the great pay, and chance to beat up old ladies, how many of those forces will be willing to keep doing this over and over?

You should have spent some time during lockdown on a civics lesson. The EMA has to be voted on within 7 days of it being invoked. Thats Monday.

And it has to be revoted on 30 days later to extend it.

Any of those conditions fail to be met, its automatically rescinded.

At the end of 30 days an inquiry is automatically launched.

Lets see what seasoned senators think about horse tramplings, knees to stomachs, pepper spray, tear gas, and batons to ribs.

Who cares, it will all be done on Monday. Democracy works. If the NDP didn't want the Act, it will be over. Minority governments are the best functioning government with the most accountability.

Now that we know that Trudeau runs his party like a dictatorship, we must ask ourselves: is there any indication he wouldn't do the same as the leader of Canada?

Would a Prime Minister Trudeau arbitrarily whip the vote and outlaw certain moral questions? Could Prime Minister Trudeau be trusted to make decisions for the good of the country, not just for his personal self-worth? Would Trudeau call in the police to enforce his vision?

Let's hope we never have the opportunity to ask those questions.
