I don't want to derail the many excellent threads covering the protests but does anyone know how much of the givesendgo money is getting through to the truckers? And who is Christopher Garrah? After gofundme siezed and then returned donations I sent some money to adopt-a-trucker through givesendgo. The e-transfer receipt came back saying that Christopher Garrah recieved the funds. Who is he?

Farmers are very asset heavy, could the EMA be used in a climate emergency or some shit. Probably. Looks like it gets a 7 day pass to do whatever they want up to a vote.

They can tow a machine out or freeze an account, but can they take a title or your house or crop. Most farmers would have millions in crop sales sitting in an account for a period of the year. Big target. AgInvest funds, stocks, etc.

A friend of mine found out the hard way years ago. The government never runs out of money to fight their case, but an individual does.

Tamara Lich and Patrick King outsmarted themselves on this one. When they heard maybe truckers would protest vax mandates they jumped in to coopt the event. A great fundraiser they could divert to their interests - to hell with the truckers. They gave the govt. the perfect opportunity to throw a wrench into their goals. She made the Maverick party look like rightwing fascists and King exposed his own personal lunacy and racism. If you want to be successful you pick your battles. They were very unwise. They've got years of legal troubles ahead and King will continue to appeal to people living in a paradigm from about 1950.
