Agree with you DML on the violence scale the Ottawa protest barely registered on both sides. Not one cop car even got burnt.
No weapons caches announced.
Do you think the potential long term damage to our economy by enacting the EMA and saying they are going to be seizing bank accounts for weeks to come was worth the ability to force tow truck driver compliance
You do understand the effects of a brain drain?

The real damage done to this country has been loss of faith by the business community that Canada can deliver due to blockades. It wont be people leaving it will be companies looking at alternative suppliers.
And that cost is so much more than tow trucks.

Trudeau cancelled at least $250B in projects with a stroke of a pen. At least another $100B in investment capital fled before covid.
Make an argument, but dont be a hypocrite.

Your right. The brain drain happens when the a opportunity is better elsewhere because of government policy or poor economy.
Lived with it in Saskatcewan for generations while we collected equalization.
We thought we lived in a poor province but we just had poor government.

Growing up in a hyper-religious environment was a highly educational experience in seeing the unwavering commitment that a hypocrite maintains to the cause.
dml is just another example in another religion - covidianism and climatism.
he is every bit as skilled as those from my past, and just as unconvincing.
The worst harm they do is to their own cause, their dis-credible arguments usually being further destroyed by their conduct. There are very worthy and defensible aspects of religion, just as there are in recognizing the immeasurable benefit of properly directed efforts in environmental protection.
But those who claim to be the definitive voice of reason in any field are usually the most deserving of one's full suspicion as something other than them profess.
IMHO and experience. Observation is the well-regarded building block of empiricism..

The rest of your post is as much garbage as your claim that Covid would end after US elections.

There are steps to leaving a country. First the capital goes, then the currency goes, then the ties go.
There is also lots of inter provincial migration as a first step. You will see lots of people move to AB now with the hopes that they separate. A lot of Quebec anglos are leaving too. Maritimers that had previous links to AB. BCers finished with that commie province.
The re-alignment is happening. There is no going back to what was.

And I guarantee there are still thousands times more highly educated people wanting to immigrate to Canada from countries that truly are repressed, violent, and with living standards a fraction what they are here.
