    well its official

this is the coldest winter in canada to date on record
and the govt collected an average of $1.4 MM per day of carbon tax , JUST IN SASK !!!!. this is just for natural gas heating
if all provinces were paying same carbon tax it would be 12$B plus GST just to stop from freezing

Not much being said yet about the cold temps. Not record heat so nothing to talk about. Just wait til summer. It will be the highest of all time. Funny how people have short term memories.

So which data set is saying its the coldest winter ever to this date?

According to the NOAA map it indeed looks like it was way below normal for December 2021 in northwestern north america. No map yet for January 2022. But southeastern north america was way above normal for December. And so was eastern Canada above normal.

Overall the fall months of 2021 were above normal and of course we know that summer 2021 was exceptionally hot and dry across the prairies.

"this is the coldest winter in Canada to date on record" quote from case

So coldest winter ever in Canada to date? Case, Canada is a big country coldest winter "ever" is a long time of recorded temperatures. The map i posted already shows December was warmer than average in much Ontario and to the east.

I had a quick look but coulnd't find a source for that claim. And sorry peak electrical consumption records are not evidence of temperature records over a season.

Why don't you want to show us the link or evidence for your claim this has been the coldest winter to date for all of Canada ever?
