It becomes this way because the people elected to listen to all sides refuse to do their job.

And that can be proven by the fact that politicians took the week off.

I hope some MPs take their week off to go home and talk to their constituents and see how people across the country do feel. Relying on an impression formed in one location, under pressures from above, isn’t adequate.

Yves-François Blanchet MP said it well
Trudeau does nothing, nothing, nothing then brings out the heaviest tool in the box.

You are being very charitable when you call protesters average. They are not welcomed by the majority of Canadians.

Agreed but they can do that while they sit in Ottawa as well just by answering the phone.

I don't have to convince my MP, but when the NDP make the decisions, they too should have to respond to all Canadians for their support of this measure.

Why, because when you help pass an act like this that will affect all Canadians not just a small area, you owe it to canadians to explain yourself.

Jagmeet and his MPs have not done so. When you " reluctantly " support this, after the emergency has passed without good reasons to extend it, it would have been better to use existing laws and stay on the side of caution, because the precedent now set , is very dangerous when you think about it.

Just watched a bit of the underground railroad, so what you are saying is all those blacks and thier helpers are all terrorist criminals, They were breaking the law of the times An unjust law is an unjust law and if the only way to change it is civil obedience then so be it.

You think the people protesting in Ottawa and at blockades are the only ones who feel that way? And that most of them aren’t just every day people?

Well then multiply Ottawa easily by 2 and you’ll get just the crowds and convoys I’ve seen locally who did not go protest but made their agreement known none the less.

Multiply it some more to get to the people who agree yet didn’t go demonstrate in any way.

And yes, they are very average people.

Unless you’re going to tell me most people I know are in no way average and we’re all outliers of opinion?

Aside from the misgivings of some of the convoy organizers this convoy has given the disenchanted a bit of hope and an outlet.

So you are saying more than 50% are supporting the blockades? Average would be 50%.
