My folks always talk about the crazy interest rates of when they started out and how it almost finished them and I guess this current tumultuous time will be what I can talk to my kids about. A couple wrong calls on the market or running out of supplies or parts could be a disaster unlike anything in recent memory. Fuel is going to the moon and supplies of it is the last thing we need as a worry with the critters and crop here.

Sold the rest of the canola the other day and I’ll be glad to see it gone. Can’t run the risk of a bin heating at these prices. The cows are still chowing on the corn and it’s doing better than expected this year. Running about 180 head days an acre so costing about $2/day all in.

The kernels are starting to show a touch of mold but still look better than other years.

This is the calves and bred heifers just getting moved to a new piece. We should be able to graze till early April when all the cows and bred heifers come home for calving.

No worries about running out of food here. Just ground up a cull cow and bull into hamburger and there’s a 1,000 lbs in the basement. I’ve never eaten a perfect critter of ours since the good ones get sold. Only the “special” ones for us😎

The kids are doing great with their layers and can hardly keep up. Not sure if we should get more or not? They’re getting good at marketing which I’m proud of them for. Might have to get them moving some beef for me at much more appealing prices than 80cent cows😉

Good luck everyone in these crazy times🍀

$5.50 LB common for burger meat now.
Easy to sell in 50# lot.
Stuff in the store is not hard to beat. Most fries up to nothing as they grind so much ice and scrap trim in.

Right, I had seen Corteva’s program but, the only Bayer early book, that I knew about was on some of their herbicides (velocity, Varro)

BASF does make liberty in Regina and packages it.

I got Info a generic Roundup will be formulated in Regina soon.

              Times are changing.

What will Monday hold for grain prices it looks like wheat will get a better price for Canadians in USA. Canola they keep playing games but might see $30. I’m hoping for last bin.

                      Off on a adventure.

Our 14 day forcast now shows all below normal till March 19th.

Nothing to even melt the streets off.

Not a chance of any seeding in April.
